About Us

To go along with an agricultural background and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Business, I have over 50 years of experience and education in the valuations and reviewing appraisals of mainly agricultural type properties. My focus, in recent years, has mainly been in the reviewing of rural/agricultural appraisal reports and consulting with and assisting appraisers all over the United States in the development and reporting the values of these rural properties.

The first 33 years of my career I was employed with Farmers Home Administration, later to be known and Farm Service Agency. Beginning in 2005, I created Paul Moore Appraisal Services, LLC and it was in December of 2019, that I sold that business to my lead appraiser. He and his staff are very successful with the continuation of that business. It was, at the time of selling, Paul Moore Appraisal Services, LLC, that I created Moore Appraisal Review & Consulting Services, LLC, which I currently own and operate as a sole proprietor. I have been actively involved with my current business, with my main focus being reviewing the appraisals and consulting with the appraisers. I often find the opportunity to provide guidance to appraisers for adequately developing and reporting the values of rural properties. Currently a majority of the property appraisals being reviewed and consultation provided are for the valuations of rural properties that are being considered for USDA-NRCS conservations easements. I also provide my services to agricultural and some non ag lenders, including but not limited to Ag Credit Service, Farm Credit Service and local banks as well as owners and operators of rural properties.

I’ve been an active member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, ASFMRA, for nearly 40 years. In 2019-2020, I served as the ASFMRA National President. It’s through this organization, which started in 1929, that I’ve received almost all of my appraisal education, both qualified and continuing education, along with leadership training, networking skills, etc. ASFMRA is the only true rural property appraisal, farm management and agricultural consulting organization. They provide excellent education, leadership training, opportunities for networking with colleagues/peers, etc. Through this organization, I successfully completed the stringent course work, demo, and testing requirements that allowed me to obtain both appraisal designations. In 1991, I received the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation, which I followed that up by going through a similar process in obtaining the Real Property Review Appraiser (RPRA) designation. These designations have given me many appraisal and appraisal review opportunities, that otherwise I would not have been considered for providing these services.
